ECON 228 - Economic Development

Type of Course: Lecture, Discussion
Examines the major theories of economic development, the major problems confronting less developed countries, and the policies and strategies appropriate for economic development. Topics include agricultural development, income distribution, industrialization strategies, foreign aid and investment, population, labor and employment. This course is more rigorous than ECON 128  and presumes a stronger background in economics. Students may not take both ECON 128  and ECON 228.

Prerequisites: ECON 011 .
