GEOG 355 - Agroforestry/Community Forestry/Agro-Ecologies


Considers importance of trees and forests, as well as sustainable farming practice, to social and ecological well-being of people, emphasizing interests of rural people in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Examines forest and agricultural resources as a growing focus of political and economic action at local, national and international levels. Concentrates on case-study examples of technical and policy innovations in social forestry and agroforestry.
