MSCS 3295 - Advanced Data Intelligence Concepts

Leveraging case studies, this course will expose students to the challenges of designing a data analytics process. The course would challenge students to come up with robust technical solutions to store the data in accordance with the changing regulations, introduce ethical dilemmas in data privacy vs. improved accuracy predictions, model and data bias. Furthermore, the course would re-enforce the lessons learns in the previous 3 courses by providing opportunity to present the results of the analysis and recommendations to the decision makers, challenging the students to explain complex technical concept in a clear and accessible manner. Finally, through team-based projects, the class would expose students to the complexities of managing people in data analytics projects.
