ECON 125 - Health Economics

Type of Course: Lecture
Uses economic models and analysisto examine health care systems and institutions, primarily in the UnitedStates, though other countries’ systems will be introduced and explored. The roles of government, the insurance industry, and supplier organizations (pharmaceutical companies, hospitals and provider practices, for example), as well as the many recent changes in the US Health Care System are among the topics that are investigated to assist students in
understanding how economic considerations affect equity and access in the provision of health care.
