FIN 5407 - Investment Market Readings

A course covering descriptions of investment markets and key market players from the time of the South Sea Bubble and the Dutch Tulip Mania to the failure of Lehman Brothers and the mortgage crisis, as told by Tom Wolfe, Michael Lewis, “Adam Smith”, David Brooks, and others. Introducing a cast of heroes and scoundrels, including Jesse Livermore, J.P. Morgan, Hobey Baker, Henry Kravis, Mike Milken, and John Meriwether. The course will amplify many of the ideas discussed in Finance 5203 and will trace the effects of these ideas in the financial world.
