Senior Leadership Program Requirements

The Master of Public Administration Senior Leadership (MPA-SL) program is a cohort-based executive program in public administration.  MPA-SL students follow a structured curriculum. Concentrations are not available for the MPA-SL program. 

Requirements:

• 2 Assessment of Prior Learning (APL) courses (apply as part of the admissions process; must be approved prior to formal acceptance)
  • MPA 3840 - Project Management  
  • MPA 3170 - Change Management  
• Six online courses 
  • MPA 3120 - Organizational Behavior & Leadership  
  • MPA 3320 - Ethics and Professional Life  
  • MPA 3400 - Policy Analysis  
  • MPA 3540 - Nonprofit Management  
  • MPA 3620 - Public Budgeting and Accounting  
  • MPA 3820 - Labor Relations and Collective Bargaining  
• Two Capstone Courses
  • MPA 3900 - Research Methods and Strategies  Taught Year One
  • MPA 3999 - Capstone Practicum  Taught Year Two
• Six Onsite two-day (residency) sessions

Students will be required to attend all onsite two-day (residency) sessions. The two-day residency sessions are geographically held throughout New England. Student Capstone presentations may be presented at the final residency session.
