Credit Hour (Unit) Definition

At Clark, academic credit is expressed in terms of course units. Most courses are awarded one unit which is equivalent to four semester credit hours, 180 hours of engaged academic time, or six quarter credits. Some courses are offered for variable units.  Three units is considered full-time (undergraduate and graduate). Converted from semester hours/credits to units in 1984.
