CHEM 142 - Environmental Chemistry

Type of Course: Lecture, Laboratory
Focuses on chemistry related to environmental problems, with emphasis on aquatic chemistry and aquatic and air pollution. Equilibrium theory is developed as a model for aquatic chemistry and chemical analyses of local aquatic systems are conducted in the laboratory according to EPA procedures.

Prerequisites: CHEM 102 , CHEM 103 , or advanced placement. In-class and final exams, laboratory reports.
