CMLT 210 - Modernism in Philosophy, Literature and the Arts

Between 1890 and 1930, the forms of inquiry and artistic expression in Western culture went through radical, foundational transformation. Using representative texts from the humanities and the arts, this course examines the Modernist transformation in its historical, cultural and thematic context, using a multidisciplinary perspective to integrate topics in related areas of inquiry and expression. two courses in philosophy plus courses in related areas. Fulfills the Historical Perspective (HP).
