EDUC 368 - Sec. 3 - Clinical Experience and Seminar II (Secondary)


Integrates at least 350 hours of field work with group professional-development activities such as “rounds,” seminar discussion and teacher research. Students will be mentored by education faculty and/or professional-development-school teachers as they develop their teaching practice and understanding of children’s learning. Particular emphasis will be placed on ways to develop and support children as active thinkers, on providing multiple paths of learning for children in keeping with diverse needs and ways of knowing, and on creating and sustaining a responsive and responsible learning community. Students will frame and conduct a teacher research project to build understanding of some aspect of the teaching-learning process.
