ENG 290 - Capstone

Type of Course: Seminar
The capstone’s purpose is to deepen and broaden each senior major’s knowledge and interpretive skills. We will spend time on the aspects of literature that the department feels every major should know. Throughout the semester, each student will work on a paper of his or her choosing (e.g., a research paper for another seminar, a part of an honor’s thesis). Melville’s “Moby Dick” will be the touchstone text for 2009. For undergraduate English majors, this course satisfies the Capstone (E) requirement. Seniors only.

Instructor: Ms. Neuman

When Offered: Offered every fall

Faculty: Meredith Neuman, Ph.D. - Assistant Professor of English
