HIST 090 - Twentieth Century Global History

Type of Course: Lecture, Discussion
This course seeks to link past and present by providing a historical framework for understanding the political, economic, and cultural challenges confronting the contemporary world. The central theme for the first two-thirds of the course will be the interaction between empire and revolution from the First World War through the Cold War, while the final section will focus on the impact of globalization on matters such as climate change, AIDS, and ethno-religious conflict. Fulfills the Global Comparative Perspective.
