ID 101 - Introduction to Peace Studies

Type of Course: Lecture, Discussion
Can we manage the conflicts in our personal lives, our society, and our world, so they result in development and justice rather than oppression and destruction? We consider four paths towards peace: strength, negotiation, nonviolent struggle, and personal transformation. Students are asked to investigate these paths and develop their own stance towards achieving peace.
