MKT 5486 - Branding Strategies


Brands are everywhere. Name a product category and a brand name is likely to be the first thing that comes to mind. These brands do not merely mark the origins of the companies, products and services. They elicit our most deeply held beliefs, desires and aspirations. A strong brand can be a company’s most effective competitive tool and strongest platform for growth, commanding premium prices among customers and investors alike. Branding building has many dimensions: aesthetic, experiential, social, financial, organizational and cultural. In this course, students will explore the dimensions of brands, and examine the process by which great brands are created, built and maintained.

Prerequisites: MKT 4400  or MKT 4402 .
