PSTD 238 - U.S. Foreign Policy

Analyzes America’s rise to globalism from World War II through the Cold War and beyond, focusing on key policymakers like FDR, JFK, Henry Kissinger and Bill Clinton. Topics include the atomic bomb, the CIA, the Vietnam War and the Arab-Israeli conflict. Special emphasis on the dilemmas of the 1990s-—the Gulf War, Bosnia and economic rivalry with Japan. Formerly titled U.S. Foreign Relations since 1914.
