PSTD 252 - Race and American Society

Type of Course: Lecture, Discussion
Focuses on the political, economic and social lives of Native Americans, Latinos, African-Americans, Asian-Americans and whites. Topics include social construction of race, racism, the civil-rights movement, gender, class, popular culture and public policies. A central assumption of this course is that we must turn to the historical experience to understand contemporary race relations.
