EN 109 - Science Writing Seminar

This seminar introduces students to the critical skills required for effective science writing. Participants will conduct research on different aspects of a current issue at the intersection of science and society. Based on their research, each student will write three major papers, one each from a scientific perspective, a social-science perspective, and public-policy perspective that links the previous two. The seminar as a whole will collect and edit a selection of the papers to create a document that can serve as resource to inform the public on the issue. Satisfies the Verbal Expression requirement.
