MGMT 5807 - Cross Cultural Management

This course is aimed at helping students to develop the knowledge and skills required to manage effectively in a culture different from their own, as well as to interact with people from other cultures. The class will introduce the main concepts of culture and discuss the various cultural frameworks and then teach how to apply these to determine how to be effective while interacting in different cultural environments. The class will examine the impact of culture on various behaviors as well as interpersonal issues like communication and negotiation, motivation, leadership, expatriate management and team management in an international context.

Open to MBA, MSA, and MSF students.
