MPA 3440 - Special Topics:

Spring 2016 Fundraising Practicum

This course will provide students with the opportunity to work with area non-profits to:

1. Plan a special event
2. Write an appeal
3. Write at least 1 grant application

Students will receive instruction in special event planning, writing an appeal and writing grants. They will then work as quasi-consultants to a local nonprofit to help them plan an event, write an appeal and write at least 1 grant application. The course instructor will provide oversight, coaching and feedback throughout the course of the semester. Ideally, students should take MPA3020 first, but it is not a prerequisite.
