PSYC 337 - Advanced Graduate Statistics


This course will explore various advanced methods in statistical analysis.

Spring 2016: Multilevel Modeling (MLM) is a statistical tool for the analysis of nested data (i.e., students in classrooms, people in nations, members in a family, partners in romantic relationships, and repeated measures overtime). This course will cover many types of MLM including basic MLMs, growth curve modeling, repeated measures analyses, lagged models, dyadic data analysis, longitudinal dyadic models, and an introduction to Multilevel-SEM. This course will use mainly SPSS software with example datasets and annotated output provided. This course has an applied focus and will stress the execution of models in SPSS and interpretation of the output. Examples of each technique in the psychological literature will be given to aid discussions on the presentation of results in research reports.:
