MBB 110 - Biology-Enriched Calculus


The main objective of this first semester calculus course is to train students in the basic concepts and techniques of calculus: limit, continuity, differentiation and integration. In this course, the examples and homework problems will demonstrate the importance of calculus in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, with an emphasis on biological applications. This will provide students with a solid foundation in the techniques and theory of Calculus, while exposing them to the highly quantitative nature of modern Biology to better prepare them for future studies and/or careers.

Prerequisites: Appropriate score on the mathematics placement test or a passing grade in MATH 119
