FIN 5401 - Investments


This course provides an introduction to investment theory and security valuation. In addition, students will gain a strong understanding of financial markets and the major classes of financial assets. The topics covered in the course include: ethics, equity and bond pricing, capital asset pricing model, behavioral finance, option pricing, and portfolio analysis. The lectures and examinations will focus both on quantitative and conceptual foundations.

 

 

Prerequisites: No prerequisites for MSF students. Prerequisite for other students is FIN 4200  and is by permission only.
