MSPC 3226 - The Art of Stakeholder Management From employees to the media, public relations professionals and internal communicators cannot get anything done unless they get buy-in from stakeholders. This course will analyze trends in stakeholder management from the point of view of both internal and external communications. Using practical case studies, we will look at best practices for handling stakeholders that run the entire gamut and include consumers, investors and government and regulatory agencies. The key to results in the corporate and public relations world is proper stakeholder management at all levels and knowing different communication techniques to work with each group. Student Learning Outcomes: students will leave this course with the practical knowledge to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders as well as the importance of stakeholder relations management and how it drives results in both corporate and public relations settings. They will also be able to create internal and external stakeholder management strategies and be able to discern the impact such strategies have in order to drive results. Further, students will be able to use stakeholder relations skills to influence attituded, decisions and actions.
