Psyc 397 - Critical Race Theory & Psychology

This course explores the relationship between the academic disciplines of critical race theory (CRT) and psychology. Since the spring of 2020, there have been calls for the field of psychology to incorporate antiracism into research and practice. Yet, a CRT perspective has been slow to emerge in psychology. This course will explore the role of race and racism in the field of psychology generally, and the nascent body of psychological research that incorporates CRT.
