PSYC 370 - Biological Bases of Bahavior


Biological Bases of Behavior is a course that explores the multiple biological and physiological factors that contribute to human adaptive, productive behaviors as well as behavior dysfunction. The class will examine the biological bases of human behavior. The student will follow the evolution of human behavior from it origins to the current neuroscience. The student will learn basic neuropsychological systems, their biological substrate and modes of functioning. The final segment of the course will focus on the relevance of biological bases of behavior to psychopathology, assessment, and interventions.

Prerequisites: PSYC 301
