MSCS 3098 - Directed Research

The course is structured as a research experience, conducted in associate with a particular faculty member who will direct the research effort. Students will engage in various facets of the research process, including reviewing existing literature, designing systems and experiments, implementation, measurement, and writing up results. The intent of the course structure is to give the student the experience of applying the knowledge acquired in the classroom courses to a significant piece of research, generally expected to result in a publishable paper.
