ACCT 5104 - Accounting Information Systems

Accountants need a thorough knowledge of computer-based information systems and their role in accounting and finance functions and in managerial decision-making. In addition, this course also covers the use of information systems in design and execution of financial and internal audits.  It also deals with the nature and flows of accounting information in various processes and organizations, information security, ramifications of Sarbanes-Oxley act, challenges of rapid changes in information technology.
