ARTS 125 - Graphic Design Workshop


This course focuses on intermediate-level projects in graphic design with an emphasis on exploring conceptual development and the problem-solving process. Students will utilize a variety of tools including leading edge graphic design software and technology. Projects include a variety of print and digital applications. This course will bridge the study of design with professional practice through projects that address the role of the designer, the client, and the audience receiving visual communication messages. This class addresses questions such as ‘who gets to design what and for whom?’ begin to address the larger question of how imagery and representation can reinforce or break down structural injustices. Students will be charged a V & PA lab fee upon registering for this course. Open to non-majors. 

Prerequisites: ARTS 124  or permission of the instructor.
