ECON 328 - Economic Development: Theory and Applications


In this development economics course, we will study key theoretical models underlying household behavior in developing countries including the agricultural household model, models of behavior under market failures, consumption and income smoothing, household bargaining, and intrahousehold resource allocation.  This course will also study empirical methods and their application to different topics in development economics.

Prerequisites: ECON 302
