BAN 104 - Introduction to Management Information Systems


Information and communication technologies play an essential role in organizations and society in today’s knowledge economy. It is important for individual to possess a working knowledge of the state-of-the-art information technology tools, effective ways of using and developing of these tools, and their impacts to individuals, organizations, and the society, including the implications for ethics and social responsibility. Introduction to Management Information System is an introductory course that examines strategic, organizational, technological, managerial as well as ethical issues that are relevant to information systems. In addition, it provides opportunity for students to learn and practice the most popular software tools through hands-on applications.

Students must also register for a required discussion section with this course.
