SOC 260 - Immigrants and Immigration: Innovation, Creativity and Culture

Immigration is THE theme of 21st century political, economic, and cultural discourses across the world. This course interrogates how movement across borders catalyzes new forms of creativity in every domain of life that immigrants contribute to in the countries in which they reside. As well as interrogating the general themes of immigration, we examine how immigrants’ inventiveness contributes to America’s economic and technological lead in the global economy.
