SSJ 345 - CDP Practice: Reflection and Deliberate Practice

Reflective Practice and Leadership Development

The Reflective Practice seminar provides students an opportunity to develop their professional identity and effectiveness as a development practitioner.  Students will learn how to engage in reflective practice to develop deeper understanding of how their beliefs and values impact their actions. They will learn how to seek feedback from others including co-workers, supervisors, and community members as part of this process.  As a result, students will become more effective decision-makers and leaders who continuously learn and develop their practice. Students will learn that reflective practice is used in many aspects of development work, including urban planning, climate change adaptation, immigrant and refugee work, youth work, and non-profit management.

Formerly IDCE 345. Students who have already passed IDCE 345 cannot receive credit for SSJ 345 and should not take this course.
