FIN 242 - Capital Markets


The Capital Markets course provides an overview of short-term and long-term financing sources available to all entities seeking to access the capital markets.  We will learn about the different sources of capital, who are the providers and users of capital, market regulation and how capital markets affect financing and investment decision making.  In addition, students will be exposed to the mechanics and regulation of the banking system,  as well as how macroeconomic factors and government policies influence the liquidity and capital markets conditions including access, pricing and valuation.

Prerequisites: FIN 142
