CJ 2400 - Special Topics

This course addresses current or timely topics (in Criminal Justice) that are in a pilot phase or are known to be one-time offerings.  Special Topics can vary from semester to semester. May be repeated for credit if the topic is different.

Spring 2024 CJ2400-01 CRIMINAL LAW

This course will introduce students to the history of the criminal justice system-how it originated and the developments into our modern-day system.  Students will learn the essential elements necessary for criminal culpability and study a variety of crimes such as offenses against the body, property offenses and crimes against the home.  Students will explore possible defenses to assess their applicability to the crime.
