QBUS 250 - Operations Management

This course covers various approaches used to manage a firm’s operations and evaluate business decisions, problems, and investment opportunities. Both qualitative and quantitative concepts will be discussed. Topics include productivity, capacity planning, work design, product design, process management, inventory management, quality management, project management, supply chain and logistics management, scheduling, forecasting, optimization, and other contemporary analytic techniques. Using conceptual and numerical application, students will gain a deeper understanding of production and managerial decision-making processes.
