MUSC 220 - Composing for New Media, Video and Film

In Composing for New Media, Video and Film, students will build on what they have learned from the introductory course and learn more sophisticated compositional strategies for their work. Topics include composing for games and video, creating music for augmented reality environments, and scoring for TV and film. Students will work on independent and group projects and be afforded opportunities for live recordings of their work. The emphasis of the course is on learning how to compose high quality music no matter what the genre or application.

Prerequisites: MUSC 121  and MUSC 122
