PHIL 130 - Medical Ethics

Investigates contemporary issues in medical ethics: informed consent, definitions of death, treatment termination and euthanasia, abortion, confidentiality and truth telling, genetic screening and counseling, research on human subjects, resource allocation, reproductive technologies, conflicts of interest and national health policy. Not open to first-year students.
