MSDA 3055 - Regresion Analysis and Time Series

This course provides a comprehensive understanding of regression analytics and time series modeling, emphasizing their application in solving real-world problems. Students will explore fundamental and advanced regression techniques, including regularization methods, logistic regression, and interaction effects, to build predictive models. The time series component will delve into forecasting techniques, including ARIMA, seasonal models, and Prophet. The course emphasizes practical implementation using Python and R, equipping students with the skills to analyze structured data, forecast trends, and create actionable insights. The course emphasizes practical applications, preparing students for advanced machine-learning techniques covered in subsequent courses.  

 

Prerequisites: MSDA 3045 - Mathematical Statistics
