FIN 5200 - Corporate Finance


This course serves as an introduction to the principles of corporate finance and its applications.  The objective is to provide students with an appreciation on how financial decisions are made by management and investors.  It will examine topics such as financial analysis, asset valuation, capital budgeting, capital structure, dividend policy, and the cost of capital.  We will explore the motivation of different class of investors (vendors, bond, and stock) in a company.  In class, real time Wall Street data and examples are used to highlight how financial theories are applied in practice.

Prerequisites: FIN 5401   or FIN 4200  or MPA 3003 (Pathway students only)

Anticipated Terms Offered: Annually
