GEOG 355 - Critical Geopolitics and Climate Change


This seminar examines in depth a few recent works of critical geopolitics with a focus on climate change. It includes Marxist, feminist, postcolonial and other critical approaches to geopolitics. The issue of climate change is examined through global and transnational dimensions and concrete processes and places, such as the relationship between fossil fuels and global capitalism, transnational social movements and international policy, energy transitions and labor movements, climate justice and indigenous territories, and so on.
