FIN 297 - Finance Honors Research


The Finance Honors Research course is a comprehensive course taken over two semsters (Fall & Spring)for .5 units each designed for academically motivated students seeking an enriched understanding of finance principles through independent research. This advanced course provides an immersive experience for high-achieving students, with a minimum GPA of 3.7, to delve into cutting-edge topics within the field of finance. Throughout both semesters, students will engage in a structured research process under the guidance of a CUSB faculty member, from formulating research questions to conducting literature reviews, collecting and analyzing data, and ultimately presenting their findings. The course is designed to hone students’ critical thinking, methodological rigor, communication, and analytical skills required in today’s finance research.

This half unit course is repeated for credit once.
