MSIT 3470 - Cloud Computing


This course on cloud computing covers several key takeaways that are essential for understanding this critical component of modern IT infrastructure. It discusses the different types of cloud computing models, including public, private, and hybrid, and service models, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. The course also addresses the challenges and considerations associated with cloud security, data governance, and compliance. Participants will explore practical methodologies to safeguard sensitive information, implement robust access controls, and navigate regulatory requirements. Students will use virtual labs to gain hands-on experience in managing cloud-based computing infrastructure. This will include operations such as Virtualization, Memory allocation, costing of cloud services, which will help students to be prepared for any fundamental certification of various cloud service providers in the market.

Prerequisites: MSIT 3050 - Information Systems Analysis and Design
