MSIT 3000 - IT Foundations

IT Foundations offers students an introduction to Information Technology as it pertains to corporate settings and other businesses. This course is designed to:

  • Give an overview of information technology and computer science
  • Introduce different concepts and concentrations of IT used in many different business settings
  • Guide students through the fundamentals of IT, such as networking, programming, security, and operating systems
  • Challenge students to work through real-life problem-solving exercises one would face in the IT field
  • Explain how to use certain IT and computer science skills that translate into careers
