VAPA 010 - ArtsLaunch

The course is organized into a series of weekly, field-specific topics that speak to a common theme. Spring semester 2025, the theme is “The Fourth Wall”- a term that is often used to describe artworks that self-reflect, calling direct attention to the properties, techniques, and even clichés of their own media.

VPA 010 must be taken either in the same semester that a student declares their major in ARTH, ARTS, MUSC, SCRN, THEA or MCA, or at the soonest opportunity after major declaration. The course is open to minors in these areas, but not required. Students who wish to explore this course before declaring may be granted special permission, space permitting.
