TA 207 - Costume Design: Theory and Practice

This course will build on the skills attained in TA 125. Students will apply the knowledge from TA 125 to published plays in various genres and create individual designs that are grounded in solid theory and visual communication. This course will sharpen the student’s design practice and understanding of the theory and execution of effective costume design for the stage and screen. Special attention will be paid to industry skills such as wardrobe and assistant design skills, rental documentation, and other organizational areas of training that will allow students to achieve the proper levels of proficiency to gain employment in this field.

Prerequisites: TA 122
