ACCT 219 - Government and Non-Profit Accounting

Government accounting has standards set forth by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) for state, local, and federal government. Through this course, we will explore the unique accounting rules put in place for government entities and non-profit organizations. This course will cover government accounting areas of fund accounting, budgeting, preparing governmental financial statements, and auditing government entities. In addition, we will explore accounting topics for non-profit organizations, which include colleges and universities, as well as other welfare organizations.

Prerequisites: ACCT 101
