MSAI 3115 - Ethics, Governance, and Social Implications of AI

This  course  explores  the  ethical,  legal,  and  social  challenges  AI  technologies  pose.
Students  will  critically  examine  issues  such  as  bias,  fairness,  accountability, transparency, privacy, and the broader societal impacts of AI. The course emphasizes the  importance  of  responsible  AI  governance,  focusing  on  frameworks,  policies,  and regulations that guide ethical AI development and deployment. Case studies and real-
world scenarios will be used to help students understand the role of AI ethics in various
sectors,  including  healthcare,  finance,  and  public  policy,  and  how  to  integrate  ethical considerations into AI projects.
