MSAI 3125 - Large Language Models (LLM’s)


This course offers an in-depth exploration of practical applications of LLMs such as GPT-3, BERT, and T5. It combines lectures on the foundational technology behind these models, including transformer architecture and attention mechanisms, with hands-on labs using tools like LangChain and the OpenAI API. Students will learn to deploy LLMs for tasks like text generation and semantic search, fine-tune models for specific applications, and navigate ethical considerations in AI. The course emphasizes real-world applications, preparing students to apply LLMs creatively and ethically.

Prerequisites: MSDA 3051 - Natural Language Processing (NLP)
