MSAI 3140 - Machine Learning for Computer Vision

This course focuses on applying machine learning techniques to solve problems in computer vision, such as image classification, object detection, and video analysis. Students will explore a range of machine learning models and techniques, including convolutional neural networks (CNNs), region-based CNNs (R-CNN), and You Only Look Once (YOLO) architectures, as well as transfer learning for improving model performance. Practical applications in areas like autonomous driving, medical imaging, and facial recognition will be emphasized. The course also covers the challenges and ethical considerations of deploying machine learning models in real-world vision systems.
