HSS 201 - Health, Science, and Society Capstone Symposium

The HSS Symposium is a class designed to support HSS students as they complete their Capstone requirement (Capstone course, independent research, directed study, etc.). It meets every other week and is a .25-unit course. Capstone support consists of sharing project ideas, time management strategies for a semester-long project, developing a research or policy question, finding sources, managing the ups and downs of the research process, and planning for career or educational choices after graduation.  Support also includes presenting one’s own work and providing constructive feedback to others.  This class is meant to support, not supplant, the work students do in their Capstone courses.

Corequisites: Students must be in the HSS major and taking their capstone course

Anticipated Terms Offered: All semesters
